  Back in December, one of my dear friends gave me flowers for my birthday. It was such a simple gesture, but I remember how loved and special I felt every time I looked at that bouquet. Since then, I’ve started doing a little thing  for myself—about once a month, when I’m at the grocery store, I pick up some fresh flowers. Nothing fancy or expensive, just something bright and beautiful to keep in my room. And you know what? It brings me joy. Real, simple, everyday joy.
