Why Everyone Needs a Coach

Why Everyone Needs a Coach

When most people think of coaches, their minds go straight to sports. Of course, athletes have coaches, they need someone to guide their training, refine their skills, and push them to their highest potential. But here’s the truth: coaching isn’t just for athletes. In today’s world, there’s a coach for almost every area of life- health coaches, mindset coaches, nutrition coaches, financial coaches, leadership coaches, and yes, even executive coaches for CEOs of the biggest companies in the world.

So, if the top performers in their fields, Olympians, Fortune 500 leaders, elite entrepreneurs, are investing in coaching, why wouldn’t you?

Why Coaching Works

Here’s the interesting thing: no one can make you do something you don’t want to do. So why hire a coach? Because the role of a coach isn’t to boss you around, it’s to help you make a plan, set goals, and hold you accountable to the vision you already want for your life.

Even as someone who considers myself highly disciplined, I’ve learned firsthand the value of having a coach. I have personally invested in executive coaches, career coaches, and health coaches. As a certified life and health coach, I spend my time helping others reach their goals but I also hired my own coaches. Why? Because even disciplined people love having a roadmap. Coaches provide clarity, structure, and perspective when life forces you to pivot.

For example, I work with a health coach who sets my macros and workout plan. I meet with her twice a month and have daily check-ins via an app and get weekly feedback. Could I create my own plan? Absolutely. But the benefit is that I don’t have to. That one decision is taken off my plate. My macros and workouts are set, which means I can focus my energy on following through instead of second-guessing. I chose to make this significant investment because my health and well-being are a top priority. I hold myself to high standards, and I know the best way to reach my goals is with a personalized plan designed specifically for me. To me it’s not just about the cost, it’s about the value of having the right guidance and support to achieve lasting results.

And when I hit a plateau or feel stuck, she’s right there to help me shift gears without abandoning my goals. That’s the power of coaching you’re never walking alone.

Coaching Is an Investment in Yourself

Here’s what I know: when you spend money on a coach, you’re more likely to follow through. Why? Because you’ve invested in yourself. You’ve put value on your growth, and that makes you show up differently.

Think about it, hiring a coach isn’t just about accountability. It’s about having someone in your corner who:

  • Lays out a clear plan so you don’t waste time guessing.
  • Cheers you on when things are going well.
  • Provides perspective when things get tough (unlike family or friends who might just tell you what you want to hear).
  • Keeps you focused on the bigger picture of your growth.

And let’s be clear: coaching isn’t a quick fix or cheap. Real transformation takes time. That’s why I believe the best coaching relationships last at least a year. Growth doesn’t happen overnight but with consistency, it’s amazing how much your life can change. Remember life changes don’t happen in 6 weeks or 90 days.

If you’ve been thinking about hiring a coach, I’d encourage you to stop putting it off and take the step. The question isn’t “Can I afford to hire a coach?” it’s “Can I afford not to?”

If you’re feeling ready to invest in yourself, I have 5 coaching spots available for the year.

This is about creating the habits, strength, and mindset that will support you not just this year, but for years to come.

At the end of the day, coaching is about believing that you are worth the investment. It’s about choosing to stop trying to figure it all out alone and allowing someone to walk with you, challenge you, and celebrate you along the way. Whether your goals are in health, mindset, finances, leadership, entrepreneurial or overall well-being, the decision to work with a coach is really the decision to bet on yourself. And when you do that, when you commit fully, the results go far beyond the original goal. They shape who you become and how you show up in every part of your life.
