Midyear Check-In: Are You Living the Life You Said You Wanted?

Can you believe we're already halfway through the year?

Six months ago, many of us were setting goals, choosing our word of the year, creating vision boards, or promising ourselves that this would be the year we finally put ourselves first.

And now here we are.

June is the perfect time for a pause, notice I didn't say to judge ourselves, but to check in with ourselves.

Not to focus on what we haven't done.

But to honestly evaluate where we are and where we want to go next.

Too often we get so busy moving through our days that we forget to stop and ask if we're actually moving in the direction we want to go.

So, before you race into the second half of the year, take a moment to reflect.

What's Working?
  • What habits have helped you feel healthier, happier, or more at peace?
  • What relationships are adding value to your life?
  • What routines are supporting your physical, mental, and emotional well-being?
  • What accomplishments are you proud of?

Sometimes we focus so much on what still needs improvement that we overlook how far we've already come. Celebrate your progress. Even the small wins matter.

What's Draining You?
What leaves you feeling exhausted, frustrated, or overwhelmed?
Is it a commitment you've outgrown?
A habit that's no longer serving you?
Negative self-talk?
People-pleasing?
An overloaded schedule?

Not every burden is meant to be carried forever. The second half of the year doesn't have to look exactly like the first half. You have permission to let go of what isn't working.

What Needs to Change?
This is where growth happens.
Not in massive overhauls.
Not in waiting until Monday, next month, or January 1st.
Real change often starts with one small decision.
One boundary.
One healthier choice.
One difficult conversation.
One step toward the life you want.

Ask yourself:
"If I continue doing exactly what I'm doing today, where will I be six months from now?"

If the answer excites you, keep going.

If it doesn't, now is the perfect time to make a change.

Your Midyear Reflection
• What am I most proud of so far this year?
• What is bringing me the most joy right now?
• What is draining my energy?
• What do I need more of?
• What do I need less of?
• What is one change I can make this month that my future self will thank me for?

Remember, you don't need a new year to create a new beginning. You just need a willingness to pause, reflect, and choose your next step. The best part about being halfway through the year is realizing there's still plenty of time.

Six months from now, you'll be grateful for the decisions you make today.

Choose wisely. Choose intentionally. And most importantly, choose joy.
